Boles and Boles (1998) quote p216 of Fry and Fry (1901):
".. after the death of William SLOPER, son and heir of Thomas SLOPER, deceased,
by the oath of (17 names) who say that Thomas SLOPER .. was seised of one
messuage, 1.5 virgates of land and one cottage in Easterton, which said
premises Joan, wife of Edward NORWAYE and Elenora wife of Nichalas PEERCE alias
CLARKE hold by copy of court roll of the manor of Easterton for their lives.

So seised, the said Thomas died 21.4, 17 James 1 (1619): after his death the
said premises came into the hands of the King by reason of the minority of the
said William, .. (and) are held of the King as of his manor of Kingeston Lacye,
Co. Dorset, by knight's service, and are worth per annum, clear, nothing during
the lives of the said Joan and Elenor, but afterwards they will be worth
13s 4d. The said Joan still survives.

William SLOPER died 15.9, 6 Charles 1 (1630) being under age and in the
wardship of the King. Mary wife of Thomas WITHER, Joan wife of Robert TARREANT,
Alice wife of William NASHE, and Elizabeth SLOPER are his sisters and coheirs:
they are all aged 17 years and more."

you have done well with this and as you should note this was a small community village most definitely you should go there armed with a camera and a map from the salisbury library showing who owned what and when... when reviewing this shergold comparative on igi i noticed nash nashe so there were two links preferably cousins, paste your site because you represent a link important to 65 percent of wiltshire
