I am a descendant of Leonard Moser(1718-1782) who came from Palatinate, Germany, aboard the ship "Adventure". He arrived in Philadelphia in 1732. My people settled in Lincoln and Catawba Counties in North Carolina

I have started tracing on my fathers side, and it seems that his family came to Catawba,N.C. John Calvin Moser b. 1839- 1923 this would be my great grand father. Would this be in the same family line that you are doing ?

Loretta,
My great grandfather was George Henderson Moser (1821-1903). A relative of mine did the research. She could not find any sibblings of George Henderson. If I come across anything about your great grandfather I will let you know.

Susie, I have a Pete Moser from Rohrbach, Russia, married to Maggie Fuhrman. His father was Frederick Moser (1813 - birth or marriage I'm not sure) from Rohrbach Russia, and mother was Catherine Fritschle. Frederick Moser's father is Lewis (Ludwig?) Moser born 1778 in Baden, Germany and mother is Catherine (?) bone 1778 in Baden Germany. My info is that they went to Rohrbach in 1809 - a settlement for Catherine the Great. Does any of this mach your?

At our reunion today, the story again came up about my Great grandfather and family coming to Texas aboard the Konigen Luise arrival May 29, 1901, port of departure Bremen, Germany (Ellisisland.org key name Margaretha Moser). Apparently, GGgrandpa Johannes Moser came off the ship, went straight to the bar and got drunk, and GGgrandma Anna Maria, took herself and 4 children (jacob 8y, Peter 5y,9m,. Elisabetha 3y, and someone we think may be a nephew Johannes, Moser 21y up to S. Dakota, or Nebraska to stay with her brother=in=law's family for almost a year before GGgrandpa Johannes came to collect them and bring them back to Hernville, TX. Anything sound familiar?
