Here's the backstory... My grandpa John Patrick Burke was brought to an orphanage in 1922 at the age of roughly about 4 years, by his father Thomas J. Burke, because his wife Lillian (Lillie) A. Mills had died of T.B in 1922 and he could not afford to support four children, and there were no willing relatives that could help out. Ultimately, my grandpa remained in that orphanage until his teenage years when he left for world war 2, throughout his stay he had very few visits from his father, and more frequent visits from his grandparents. My grandpa, John Patrick Burke, is now in his 90's and he has never seen what his mother looks like. If I could have any words of advice, or perhaps maybe you know something relating to these people, any help would be very much appreciated, as this is my mission before my grandpa passes on.
