ADRIAN —
Valentine Meza, 62, of Saginaw/Adrian, died Friday, January 25, 2008, at his home. He was born February 14, 1945, in
Roswell,
New Mexico, to Jose Antonio and Simona (
Perez)
Meza. On December 7, 1967, he married Elsie
Guadalupe Meza in Monterey,
California, and she survives. Valentine was a machine operator specialist with General Motors until his retirement on July 1, 2006. He was a member of the UAW Local 467 of Saginaw,
Michigan (Delphi Chassis).
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Terry
Trevino of Adrian and Raymond
Meza of Adrian; two daughters, Catherine
Roe and her husband, Jeffrey, of Adrian, and Elaine
Meza and Jason
Rice, of Adrian; two brothers, David
Meza, of Bakersfield,
Calif., and
Lorenzo “Larry”
Meza, of
Atwater, Calif.; one sister, Maria
Meza, of Portaville, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and 59 nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Patsy
Morales and Lavonia Romona
Flores, and brothers, Seferino Napo
Meza and Jose Antonio
Meza, Jr.
Funeral services for
Valentine will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2008, at the
Anderson Funeral Home, in Adrian. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the
Anderson Funeral Home, in Adrian.
