Am looking for record of LOUIS MEUNIER & MARIE-LOUISE BORNE marriage around 1775-85 Quebec. Need date and their parents' names. Their son, ANTOINE, married MONIQUE SURPRENANT 4 July 1808 St. Jean. thanks!

hello kmarsh0000,

there is quite a large family tree on One World Tree with some of the information you are looking for including some dates.I searched under Antoine. Maybe you already know about this, but I did not see your name listed as contributing. I am also interested in this line since my Meunier family has Louis' and Antoinettes' and I know they come from around this area. I cannot find any info. to connect my ancestor with anybody! I need records from the time period between 1851 census Canada and 1901 cesus, I am currently persuing some church records. I hope this helps!

hello
Though the names Louis Meunier and Marie-Louise Borne are given, the record seems to be not quite right for me. My Antoine Meunier's marriage record to Monique Surprenant lists Louis and M.Louise as his parents on 4 Jul 1808 St. Jean. The Antoine in the tree you mentioned does not give Monique as his wife. I have seen other family trees, but the birthdate for Antoine is the early 1700s with Louis in 1750 -- this is definitely the wrong Antoine. I'll keep searching the for marriage record of Louis and M.Louise -- someday I"ll find it! Thanks for responding, Kathy

Kathy,
yes you are right, It is an odd coincidence that the names are so close, but I have found that there are alot of "repeaters" in families...Good luck with your search.

If by chance you find anything about an Alphonre/Elphage Meunier b. 1858 in St.Cesaire(especially who his parents might be)let me know. St. Jean is not too far from there, it seems we are looking in the same area, and I know I have Louis' and Antoinettes in my family.

Have you checked with the person who posted the tree, maybe you could double check thier sources....
