Anyone know anything about a William McWhirter born around 1790 in England? He immigrated to the US and had a son Eli McWhirter in Pittsburgh around 1839.

I don't know if this relates at all but my father in law's name is William McWhirter and he was from Pittsburgh. He died in April of 2006. I am wondering if there is any connection there.
