Looking for information on Thomas H. McWhirter and wife Susan Henrietta (Shook) Carton 1848 - 1919. They lived in Georgetown, Ontario. Thier children were: Edward, Charles William, Thomas Jr, James Albert, Andy, George P., Susan Henrietta, Jean Amanda and Emma McWhirter. They were all born in or around Georgetown, Ontario. Edward McWhirter(b1873) worked at a paper mill in Georgetown, he married Mary Ann Foregrave. James moved to Saskatchewan and George and Charles to Alberta. Any help would be great.

I am working on the Traill family history of Walkerton, ON. Annie Traill married Thomas H McWhirter Sep 28, 1904. They had one son and two daughters. I think that is the Thomas Jr in your query.

Yes that is my Thomas McWhirter. He was my Great-Uncle. His Brother James was my Great-Grandad. I have been trying to track down info on the McWhirter's for a while. The name is hard to track, seeing as it is spelled incorrectly on most of the documents I have found.

Annie (Traill) McWhirter is my great aunt on my father’s side. I found the connection in “Who’s Who in Canada 1922” thru Google Books. It has a picture of Thomas H McWhirter and lots of other info. I also found their marriage record on Ancestry. That is where my info ends on Thomas H and Annie McWhirter. I would love to have a picture of Annie and stories of their life. Do you know their children’s names or any living connection?
