I am seeking on Elige McCain born about 1882 in MO. I do not know his parents. He married an unknown Shelton and apparently she died abt. 1910. I am seeking to find her name and. Elige later married her younger sister, Belva or Belvie Shelton. Elige fathered many children mostly in MO, at least one in AR and one in CA.

I have located him on the 1920 census in MO and 1930 census in CA.

Any info or ideas are appreciated.

I was born and grew up in north east Arkansas. My grandfather was Benjamin McCain. He was born in Weakley Co. TN. His brothers were William H., Charles, James Riley and John Robert McCain. A sister named Mary. Does your McCains connect to any of these.
Great grand father was Amos Calvin McCain whose brother was James and Thomas Powers McCain
