I hope that someone out there can help me, I've been looking for information on this Mays family for a long time. This is what I've got:

Armstead Mays, b. about 1800 in Nelson County, VA married Sarah Harris (1800-1880) in Nelson County in 1825. They lived in the Lovingston area and had 8 children:

Benjamin Mays m. Lucy Kidd
William Mays m. Mary Ann Martin
Nelson Mays m. Eloise Spencer
Nicholas Mays m. (1) Eloise Bryant, (2) Mary Page and (3) Sarah Ann Meeks
John Mays
Joseph Mays
Cynthia Mays
Lucinda Jane Mays m. Jacob Meeks.

Joseph and Cynthia died as children in 1855. William was killed in battle in 1864 and John was killed in battle in 1865.

Would like to know who Armstead's parents and siblings were. Would also like to know same for Sarah Harris.

I'm looking for info on Charles Garland Mays. He was born in 1763 and married in 1791 in Amherst County.
He married Rhoda Cash. A lot of the childre I have from him match the children your Armistead had. I'm wondering if they could
have been nephew and uncle?

Charles Garland Mays, wife Rhoda Cash, one of their children, Judah Tabitha Mays,was my great great grandmother,who married Preston Campbell. One of their children Leroy Campbell was my great grandfather. Leroy married Rosa Taliaferro Maddox.
I have been trying to get more info. on Leroy Campbell, one of his daughters was my grandmother, Sophronia Lee Campbell who married Luther Brown, Mays (my grandparents).
