My name is Dee Mays and I am married to Robert Eugene Mays jr. His father was Robert Eugene Mays Sr. and he was married to Helen K. Holloway. My husbands grandfather was Louis Mays and he was married to Mazie. I am not sure what her last name was. My husbands uncles include a James Mays of Greenville, Ill and Everet Mays of Centralia,Ill. Some other male family memebers are Lawarnce Mays of Veron,Ill, Pearl Mays, Bearl Mays, Kevin Mays, most of them are from the Veron, Ill area. John Wesley Wiseman m. Cora Corintha Mays, the daughter of James Mays and Mary Ann McDowell.
Cora was born August 13, 1865 in Zaleski, Vinton County, Ohio having two brothers and two sisters.
Will Mays, the oldest of the children, served in the Union Army, returning in 1865 at the time of Cora's birth.
It was Will who paid the doctor's fee of $5.00 for her delivery.
The other children were, Melissa who married a Coe, and Elizabeth, who married a Jackson, and Charles.

Coe--Mrs. Melissa. Her death occurred to the home of her daughter, Mrs. G. C. Teegardin (Teagarden) at 1116 South Oakwood avenue; at 8:30 o'clock Friday night. Mrs. Coe, who was the widow of the late Toy Coe, had been in failing health for the past year, suffering from carcinoma of the stomach. She leaves, in addition to her daughter, Mrs. Teegardin, two other daughters, Mrs. Edwin T. Goolsby of Mingo Junction, O., and Mrs. Bruce Gruver of this city; two sons Roy Coe, Logan, O., and Harry Coe of Columbus; a sister Mrs. Cora Wiseman of New Straitsville, O.; a brother William Mayes of Hawks Station, O.; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Coe was 70 years of age. The funeral services will be held at the residence where her death occurred Monday morning at 10:30 o'clock, after which the remains will be taken to Nelsonville, O. for interment under the direction of N. S. Cook.
