I'm looking for info on a John Martter/Marter who settled in Linton Twp., Coshocton Co., OH. I've found documents saying the family was from France, and others saying from Germany. I haven't been able to find his wife, or his birth and death dates. I have found three children: John Martter b. 12-9-1839 m. 1861 Mary Roof, Frances P. Martter b. 2-22-1844 m. 1869 Elizabeth Hamer, and Christinna Martter b. 4-7-1842 m. a Lakin. All the children were born in Linton Twp., I'm pretty sure from the Bacon Run Area.
