My father, Edward
Carlton Marter, told me years ago, that our original family name was
Van Marter. He said they dropped the
Van when they moved to Canada. He was born in Winipeg in or about 1923 and his father Edward
Carlton Marter died before he was born from injuries sustained in the war.
I am trying to track down any information about my family to pass on to my children as my parents and grandparents are all deceased.
Any help would be appreciated.
