I am looking for the parents of Elijah Lyons said to be from MD. He moved to Somerset Co. Pa around 1791-2. B: ?. Had sons Elijah, John,Leanord and Jonathan. Died in Somerst Co. Pa. Sons moved to Fayette Co. Pa. In the 1790 census of MD I find an Elijah Lyons 16+ single with 1 slave.

My grandmother was Lillian Lyons. She lived in Somerset Pa. and her father was Elijiah Lyons. What can you tell me of the family. There was 13 children in the family and when the mother Anna died, Elijiah remarried and his second wife had children and they had more. I am just starting on this journey of finding out more about my ancestry and would love to explore and find out what I can. Please reply

My grandmother was Lillian Mae Lyons from Somerset, Pa. Her father was Israel Lyons and Mother was Annie Harkem (?). I know that Elijah Lyons was mentioned in the family. Also my grandmother was from a family of approximately 13 to 14 children and Annie Harkem died giving birth to the last child. My grandmother was the llth child. There was also Mary Lyons who was the oldest child. Does any of this sound familiar. If so please contact me. Thank You.

My Elijah Lyons was a son of Jonathan and Sarah Clark Lyons from MD. Elijah was born 1756 MD. Died abt May 1850 Somerset Co. Pa. Wife name Susannah. As far as I know they had 9 children. The last being Elijah Jr. Born ca 1810 Somerset Co. Pa. He had 2 wives. Mary Tedrow and Susanna Ohler and maybe a third wife Christina Wingert.
Elijah Jr had 10 children total. I'm afraid I don't see a connection to your family unless we have missed some
decendents somewhere. Or we are wrong about the children we have listed.

I an looking for Cassander Lyons born 1802 and died 1884 in Fayette. She married Jacob Fulton. Possible Brother is Jonathan Lyons who died 1882 at the age of 70 in Fayette Co., PA He has a Wife Sarah. I think their father is Elijah Lyons of Somerset Co. PA This Elijah may have come for MD.

Elijah Lyons and Sussnnah Ohler, of Somerset Co., PA, had a son Isreal who married Anna Elizabeth Harkin. Isreal & Anna had 13 or 14 children. One being Lillian Mae. I have further informatiion on the family. Would be glad to share.
