I have relatives from sweeden, lundbergs, who have an uncle, eric engstrom. They came from somewhere near stockholm, settled in canada, then some moved to sacramento, ca., walawala wa, ore. and boston. Some names are george, henry, fred, and gust lundberg, eric engstrom , (who they called uncle swede.) Any of that sound familiar? or just a coincidence.

Hello Cousin Nicolle,

As you know, my father was Gust Lundberg Sr, brother of John, George, Eric, and sister Florence.

There was one other who died in infancy, Arnold, buried in the family crypt in Sacramento.

I am one of the few according to Uncle Swede, who went back to Sweden, besides him of course, in the 70's.

I spent much time with Uncle Swede's brother Folke in Stockholm, over one Yule.

Although my work takes me all over the United States, I reside in Boston and New Jersey.

You my always call me 617 448 6340.

Be well. Hugz....

Many of the Engstrom's, Lundberg's and Johanson's were from a place called Nordmaling.

My Grandmother was Matilda Johanson-Lundberg, married to Fred Eric Lundberg, parents of Gust (my father, Eric, John Henry, George, Florence and Arnold (Who died in infancy).

I have no siblings.

I am not sure where Nordmaling is? Is it in Sweden?

Did any moe of your family immigrate to the USA or Canada??

The Emma Wilhemnia Lundberg/ of Johnson I have married a Martin Miller/ Millar or Moller & were living in Boston in 1896 when the rest of her family immgrated from Sweden.

Emma's brother Karl Oscar married his 1st cousin Tilda Marie Lundberg

Karl Oscar's father Johan August(Gus) Lundberg & Tilda's father was Karl Gustaf Lundberg (Charlie) Gus & Charlie were brothers.

Not sure this helps or not??

Bye for now
Jan:)

The Lundberg's, Johnson's, Johanson's, Engstrom's and Abergs who came to the US between the last years of the 1800's up to the 1930's settled in the Sacramento Valley, did come down through Canada, OR.

I believe Karl Oscar was my father's uncle.

They did, for the most part, come from a village, that is now Nordmaling, a place that has gone through some changes.

They were in lumber, fishing, engineering.

Cousin Folke Engstrom received some high award from Norway for picking off Nazi's with the Norwegian ski patrol in WWII. He worked for Volvo for some time. I believe and was an engineer.

I will see if I can lay my hands on more information.
