I'm looking for information regarding Bernard Lane. Bernard was born 1916 in Arkansas. I know that he has Half Siblings that from what I've been told are much older than he is. I have his father as being John Lane. I don't have tons of information that I can say is 100% accurate but from what I do have I show that the family came over from England to Virginia after 1630's. Any information would be extremely helpful

I'm looking for any information on the family of my grandfather, Joe L. Lane of Wayne County, GA. Birthdate: 06/02/1895. Date of death: 10/06/1954. He married my grandmother, Sally Drawdy. His father was Thomas Lane born in Cedar Key, Florida, and his mother was Georgia Alverta Crosby. Any information on his parents, grandparents, etc would be greatly appreciated.

From the November 22, 1823 "Boston Recorder:

"In Tennessee, Capt. Martin Lane, Jr. while intoxicated, shot himself through the head, with his rifle, in front of his own house, in the presence of his mother, & sisters, and wife. He walked deliberately fifteen yards from the door; told the family that he would kill himself; threatened to kill the first one who came near him; sat down and took the shoe and stocking from his left foot; presented the muzzle of the gun to his throat, and pulled the trigger with his toe - the gun flashed - he then picked the flint, primed the gun again, and proceeding as before, shot himself through the head and died instantly."

My brick wall, is Joseph Lane born c1728 possibly in Nottinghamshire England, he married Hannah Severn in the parish of Greasley Nottingham in 1763, and died in 1777 Nottingham england.

Addison & Sally were my GGGrandparents. Their son Addison Earldom was my GGrandfather. His wife's name was Mary Jane (Eppright) but she went by Jennie. She called him 'Ully,' which is most likely 'Early' with a Southern drawl. Jennie Lane Park in Manor, Texas is named for her. A. E. gave the land for the park.

Their children who survived to adulthood were Pauline (known as 'Pinky'), Frances Rust, David, Mary Ann (known as 'Mal' or 'Marie'--my grandmother) Walls Earldom, Gertrude (known as 'Trudie'), & John Wright. Hi I am desperate to find any info (death,marriage)on the following all born in Folkestone:Ellen E Lane b:1911. Freddy Lane b:1912,Doris Lane b:1915,Richard Lane b:1920 and Grace Lane b:1924.They are children of Rose(nee holloway) and Charles Richard Boyle Lane(known as Richard).
I seem to be hitting a few brick walls, but I think they moved out of the area as I cannot find them in Folkestone after 1924.

Hi Kokomuller, i am a expat Londoner i came out in 1962, to Adelaide South Australia, so i am frist generation i have traced my Paternal Lane abcestry to a Frances Lane in 1780 in London UK, cira via the Morman s search website so it would apear we are not related. good luck in your sreach ! we have Irish, spanish, & English in my family back ground.

I can certainly help you. My GGGGrandfather was his brother.

In fact, there were 4 Lane brothers that lived in Lebanon, Indiana at that time. They also had at least one sister that moved to Boone County. The family's history is very well documented in the area. Addison's brother, Levi Lane, was the clerk for over 40 years.

Yes my son's Lane line includes Thomas Lane born December 17, 1862 in Limericak who went to Australia and married Elizabeth Burke/Bourke at St. John's Church, Clifton Hill, Victoria, Australia on 19 July 1899.

Thomas was the son of Denis and Anastasia. I can't get beyond that... to Denis' parents etc etc

Not sure what part of the world you are in but many Lane Families came to South Australia in 1850-80's a state that had very large gruop of German at the same time so thier is a lot of anglo-Germatic families here regards Colin Lane.

the earlest lane i can fin in England is Frances Lane married in 1791.

Looking for information on Marilyn Gilligan born about 1931 in Rochester, NY to Lois S. Lane (18 Feb 1903 - ?) and Francis Leo Gilligan (16 Sep 1893 - 15 Jul 1936).

I found Francis "Dutch" and Lois in the 1930 Rochester NY census. They were married and living with Dutch's mother Bridget Gilligan (nee Heffernan).

Lois remarried and Marilyn is believed to have taken her stepfathers name. Lois may have married William M. Hall.

This is true and I have one in a family I manage, but it isn't worth the large number of near matches who are not related for me to explore fully each one. I wish them luck, and hopefully, they can find through adoption records, etc., what their surname should have been.
