Hi..I am researching a Landry family William and Catherine who came to NO from Bremmerhaven, Germany in the 1840s. They had children..Sophia..Mary Ann..Elizabeth..Marie..Joseph August. I am thru Sophia who had Edward Daniel (1869) and George R (1871) who ended up in the German Protestant Orphanage and were adopted out from there. I have this well documented from several sources to the current day. If this is the same family, I'll be happy to share data with you. I can find nothing about the rest of the children of William and Catherine.

I am trying to find out who my grandmother's parents were. My grandmother was Medora Landry, born around 1874 or 1876 in Iberville. Her brothers were Joseph Lovingdale Landry and Eugene Curtis Landry. Her sisters were Ophelia and Lily. She died in 1958. She married Eugene P. Ward and had two sons, Joseph Millard Ward and Samuel A. Ward. Any help you can give would be so appreciated. Thank you!

Hi! Sounds like you may be able to give me some assistance. The younger Rene, born about 1634, had a son named Claude (I hope!). I have found two Claude Landry's in the 1693 Census. One was married to Catherine Thibodeaux in Minas and the other to Marguerite Theriot in Port Royal. I am thinking the son of Rene is the one married to Marguerite, since the census had Perrine Bourg, widow of Rene Landry, listed as living with Claude and Marguerite.
Any help you can give me on this would be greatly appreciated.

Going back, my grandmother is the duaghter of Venerande Blachard...d/o Genevieve Landry....d/o Anselme Landry....s/o Alexis Landry....s/o Jean Landry...s/o Claude Landry.

Again, I thank you in advance for any help you may be able to give me. Funny thing, is that I grew up near a whole large Landry family. Never knew that the Landry name was in my background. They were probably relatives!
