ALFind the widow Sarah
Johnson on the 1870 and 1880
Walton County, FL censuses.
I can deduce that Melissa married Thomas
Miller and she died in
Walton County in Jan. 1923 and buried at
Cluster Springs.
John H. married Mary Frances ?? and he died 1914 in
Walton County.
Samuel H. maried Mary J. Truett. He died Jan. 3, 1930 in
Gadsden County, FL, but buried in Defuniak
Springs,
Walton County.
On the 1850 census,
Bryant Johnson is only a few households away from William and
Polly Johnson, whom I feel sure are my ggg-grandparents and are possibly the parents of
Bryant.
Would love to hear from anyone researching this family.
Now be careful, for there is another
Bryant Johnson born about 1809 NC on the 1850
Early County,
GA census & the 1860 & 1880
Conecuh County,
AL census & on the 1870
Santa Rosa County, FL census, who also has a son named Micajah born about 1851
GA. This 2nd
Bryant, about the same age, son with same name, and living in roughly the same area, led me on a WILD goose chase for a while. Would make you think that somehow the 2 Bryants are connected....
Blessings,
Ken
Johnson
