I have gotten as far as Ross Johnson and wife Miriam born around 1842 died around 1884 and Miriam died abt 1916. Lived in Floyds, Newberry South Carolina. Children were Asa, Andrew, Clide, Liza, Emma and Spurgeon. I think Ross's mothers name was Sarah, does anyone have an idea what her maiden name might be?

Ross Johnson's first name was William, youngest known child of Stephen H Johnson and Sarah. W R Johnson died 1884 and is buried Bush River Baptist Church Cemetery, Newberry County.

I believe Miriam was previously married to Samuel Livingston had two sons with him. Miriam was also a Livingston but can not find her in 1850 census.

Ross and Miriam also had George William Ross Johnson 17 Feb 1882 and daughter Lila/Lilla 04 Dec 1880 born after June 1880 census. She never married and died 20 Oct 1932 in Newberry Co. Her death certificate says father was W. R. Johnson and mother Mary Livingston. E. C. [E Clyde] Johnson was informant and she is buried Bush Cemetery.

Three Marshall Livingston's listed 1850 census in Newberry Co. One was born 1842 son of Emanuel. One was born 1844 son of Levi. One was born 1846 son of widow Mary Livingston who had no dtr named "Miriam/Marian" but had a dtr listed as Gemima born 1840. Family tree of moore-reid says widow Mary Livingston was Mary Shealy.

Andrew Jackson died 17 Feb 1952 in Clinton, Laurens Co married Sula or Lula Sanford.

A J Johnson and family lived in Reeder, Newberry Co in 1900 then moved to Laurens Co by 1910.
