My name is Linda Jean, and I think we may be related. I received some info on my family from a lady I met by accident. John and Alcy Jean lived in Heard Co., GA. They had 16 children. They migrated to TX, LA, and AR. It seems from her info your Albritton H. Jean was one of the sons of John and Alcy Jean, and a brother to my great great grandfather, William Lumpkin Jean. The lady that sent me the info's husband's great grandfather was also a brother, James Monroe Jean. There were 16 siblings in all. Their parents were John(b. 1784 in N.C. d. 1860-1870 in Heard Co., GA) and Alcy Littleton Jean (b.1790 d. Jan.7,1854 in Heard County,GA). Both John and Alcy are buried in Franklin Cemetery, Franklin, Heard Co., GA in an unmarked grave.
I am pretty sure this is the same family because I have Albritton H. Jean (b. 1816 in GA, d. Aug. 3, 1887 in Danvile, Yell Co., AR) He was married to Charity (last name unknown) Albritton had 5 sons (one named Simeon Alexander Jean) and 2 daughters. I have a different date of birth for Simeon Alexander Jean (b.1860. My info says that Albritton and his family moved from GA to Coahoma Co., MS in 1849. Then moved to AR sometime between 1850-1860. Simeon Alexander was born after his family moved to AR. Albritton had a second wife, Elizabeth Lewis. They were married in AR after 1870. This info came from the lady I mentioned mostly from censuses. If you would like the name and e-mail of the lady I received the info from, let me know.
