GERTRUDE JANSSEN
Mrs. Gertrude JANSSEN. 76, died at 4:05 a. m. today at Muscatine
General hospital. Mrs. Janssen came to Muscatine
20 years ago. She was on the staff at the Lutheran
Homes for about 10 years, and had retired, remaining as a
resident at the homes for the past 10 years.
She is survived by two sons, Rev. Erwin JANSSEN of Windsor,
Colorado, and Dr. Martin JANSSEN of St. Paul. Minn.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Services are pending at the George M. Wittich funeral
home. Interment will he at the Lutheran Homes cemetery.

MRS. GERTRUDE JANSSEN
Funeral services for Mrs. Gertrude JANSSEN, 76, were held
at 2 p.m. Monday at the Lutheran Homes chapel.
The Rev. Henry C. Hafermann officiated
Mrs. Orra Mullenix was the organist, and Mrs.
Henry Rassmussen the vocalist. Pallbearers were Millard Nelson,
Rudolph Mattheis, Ben Matz and Fred Phillipi.
Interment was at the Lutheran Home cemetery.
Mrs. Janssen died Oct. 15 at Muscatine General hospital.
