Joseph Hynes parents are Patrick W. Hynes of Dublin Ireland and Mary Ellen Downing of Aghada, Co Cork Ireland and they were married in Upper Aghada Chapel in April 27, 1871. They had 8 children. Joseph Hynes was the 6th child. He was born in Marquette, MI on August 28, 1883. He was the 1st child born in America. He was my great grandmother Polly Hynes Walter brother. He grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
