(4) Barbara Hird & John Auld (circa 1819) married 24 March 1885. No known children.

(5) Samuel Hird & Catherine Jane Gardner (circa 1854) married 29 March 1875. Had 3 children. (1). Edgar Maxwell, b. 5 Dec. 1878, (2). an un-named son b. 29 April 1882 and d. 30 April 1882. and (3). Samuel Bruce Hird, b. 24 Dec. 1883.

(6) John Hird & Annie Gorman, (b.13 Feb. 1865) married 2 July 1888. Had 3 children, (1). Janet Anne, b. 27 April 1891, (2). Frances Winnifred, b.23 Sept. 1895 and (3). Annie Jessie Hird, b. 25 June 1898.

Further info available...Looking for distant connections, trying to crack the 1800 wall of Samuel Hird & Janet Smith. I think Janet Smith was a/the child of William Smith and Margaret Sharp Skene, Aberdeen, Scotland.
