I am trying to find information on Edwin Heck born May 23, 1910. His father is listed as Henry Heck and mother was Gertrude Mennirch Heck both from Ruma, Il. Edwin was living in St. Louis with his widowed father in 1917 when his grandfather, Ernst Cording died. He also applied for his social security number in Missouri. He died May 13, 1990 but I do not know in what state. I am trying to find any relatives of his.

I wish I could help you but I have no info about these Heck's, and little about other StLouiss Heck's. That's one of the reasons why I posted my request for more information. Good luck with your research. Sorry!

My maiden name is Heck...and we're from St. Louis. My grandfather, Edgar William Heck was born in Red Bud, Il 6/28/1910 and died a week shy of his 95th b'day in 2005. He had 3 brothers, Arthur, Eugene & August. His father was John Henry and their mother was Anna "Lizzie" Fliger. That's about all we know as they never talked about their 'roots"

This request went up 4 yrs ago so I don't know if you can help. But my request is for the Elchesheim or similar tight knit Hecks near by (just so. of Karlsruhe) who wound up in StLouiss. I've got a start since making this request, but don't think I have the entire list yet.
