Hello,
I am looking for the Heck family that lived in Fort Scott, Kansas around 1894 who adopted the children of Chauncey Monroe Messenger and Hester Elena Palmer.

Her name was Alice Mae Messenger born May 10, 1889 and also temporary cared for her youngest Brother John Henry Messenger born June 11, 1893.

The children mother died at Clarksburg, KS
December 20, 1894, the youngest child was John Henry of 6 months.

I have a George Heck born 1817 and died 1887 in Fort Scott, Bourbon , Kansas. He and his wife Marguerita Greimer had a son George b. about 1867 in Iowa. In the 1880 census the whole family lives at Scott, Bourbon, Kansas. Unfortunatelly I don't have any further information about George.
