The town of Britten is located in the state of
Saarland. It is nearly on the border with Rheinland-
Pfalz. It is now a part of Losheim am See. If you can
located Mettlach on a map of Germany it is just a short
distance NE of there. It is very tiny, I think about
800 or so in population. My husband and I live in Germany
and plan a trip to Britten this spring to see
where his relatives are from.
