Werner Koch Ferrone  (View posts) Posted: 11 Sep 2000 1:49PM GMT
My husband, Werner Koch Ferrone, is looking for his father, Jimmy Hayes or Hays, probably from Tennessee, probably born around 1924-1928. Mr. Hayes was definitely stationed in Germany for some period of time including 1945-1946. Werner's mother's name was ERIKA Koch (she is deceased) and she lived in Germany where they met while Jimmy was in the service. We assume it was the Army but we're am not sure. We have only a picture of Jimmy Hayes (my husband looks so much like him) and a letter he wrote to Werner's mother when he returned to the states sometime in 1946. As a 53 year old successful businessman, my husband does not want to barge into someone's life to cause problems, but he would just like some closure to that missing part of his ancestry for himself and to share with our kids. If anyone has any info that could help us learn more about this particular Jimmy Hayes, we would greatly appreciate it.
