Physician and Pension Surgeon born in Mt Morris N.Y. feb 8 1829, came to this county (Ottawa, Lasalle county,Illinois) 1850. Repulican, congregational, married Miss Amanda S. King at Aurora Illinois on March 13 1850,she was born in Elmira N.Y. They have one son living Albert W. born May 18 1855, Burton K. Hard was born in April of 1860 drowned while bathing in the Illinois river in July 1877. Lost one daughter G. Virginia born aug 10th 1853 who died au 1854.
