Trying to connect with any descendants of this line. Peter Goulet (1872-1944), son of Peter Goulet & Helen Gervais, was 1st to leave Detroit to settle in St. Louis, abt. 1890's.. He married Minnie (nee Westing); daughters Dorothy b. 1899, Lucille b. 1902 and Marie who died in 1911. Several siblings (Julia, Joseph, Josephine, Loraine, Genevieve) and widowed mother, Helen, followed. Josephine was my grandmother.
Other siblings (Henry, Helen & Elizabeth) apparently relocated elsewhere. Still following them.
Henry, Loraine, Genevieve & Josephine all lived in California at one time. Loraine married a Swiss named Aubert and lived abroad until his death (no children). Genevieve had a son, Norvel, and I believe their surname was Schulte.

peter goulet was the grandson of louis joseph goulet and clarett laFleur married in Detroit, Michigan. Peter the father was born 11 Apr. 1842, Matilda his sister was my ancestor, but I have no birth date for her, only that she was baptised 20 jun, 1845St. Anne, Detroit, wayne , Michigan., Joseph, 18 Sept. 1845, Marie Louise, born 05 Oct 1849 Trenton, Wayne, Michigan, Marie Julie, born 24 Aug 1851 Amherstburg, Essex, Ontario. Louis Joseph Goulet born 09 Dec 1797 Montreal, Ile De Montreal, Ouebec. was a sailor and I assume a captain because his family traveled with him.

My info (unverified) has Peter Goulet (the father) b. abt. 1849 in Canada to Hillaire Goulet and Elizabeth Sevigny, married Hellen Gervais in Detroit in 1868, died prior to 1890 in Detroit. Peter & Hellen had 9 children. Nothing further back on Goulet, only on Gervais.
Do you have any data on Peter, the father, to help pinpoint? I knew there was at least one other Peter Goulet from same generation born in Detroit area, but have had no luck in nailing down which line is mine.
Peter the father was my ggrandfather, Peter the son my great uncle.
Your help is appreciated.

My Joseph's (both of them, father and son) were born in the states, father in Detroit, son in Ohio. Family eventually settled in Manhattan. There was another Joseph Goulet in Detroit during same period, but unrelated to my line as far as I know.
Judging from your previous post, I assume your Joseph was from east coast (most Goulet settlers were in MA, ME & VT). Researchers in that area might provide more information.
