My grandfather was Henry Goulet, born in Detroit and moved to St, Louis. He changed his name to Walker. As a young man he was a comedian and a tap dancer in vaudeville--working with another performer under the names of La Perle and Walker. He later became a theater producer and an agent. He married Rose D'Alba, my grandmother. They had two daughters, my mother Lorraine and my aunt, Rosamond.

Same line. Your grandfather and my grandmother, Josephine were brother and sister.
As a young child I remember your grandparents, living in LA, as were my grandparents. Henry and Rose had a pool (a very big deal to an 8 year old from Illinois) and it was the first time I had pineapple sherbet (still a favorite). This was in 1950. My father took my brother and I out to visit his parents (my mother had died the previous year).
I remember Henry was a theatrical agent; however, I was looking for a Henry Goulet, not Walker. I didn't realize he had changed his name. I remember they had 2 daughters, saw photos, but never met them. They were older and probably not living at home.
Do I have the right people?

Yes, that's us. My mother is Lorraine under the name of Goulet, and my aunt is Rosemond under the name of Walker or Turner, she still lives in LA. Meanwhile. I've managed to trace the Goulet line back to Louis Joseph Goulet b. 1797 in Montreal m. to Clarette La Fleur. The Gervais line ( your gr. grandmother, my gggm) goes all the way back to Rennes in the 17th century.
Do you have any info. on the Goulet line before 1797?
Best, Donna Maria

I'm just leaving the house but will check later. I have tons of information from Robert Goulet, a Canadian who has done extensive work on the various Goulet lines.

Lorraine was apparently named after Lorraine Aubert (is that spelled right?), a sister of Henry and Josephine. Also, my aunt Lora Alpert(Lorraine) was Josephine's daughter, my dad's sister, my godmother. Josephine, my grandmother, married William Salzmann; 3 children: Stanley (my dad), Lorraine and William. She then married Lee Crutcher. All 3 children took his name.

One of the other sisters, Genevieve, is another that I've had trouble searching. I remember meeting her, believe she had a son (I think we visited her son in Mesa, Arizona back in the '50's. Do you know anything about them?
