Hi, I'm not sure if this will help, but my mother (Margaret Gottschalk Carrio) had a brother named Alfred. They lost touch years ago. She had one sister, Bertha, three brothers, Robert, Alfred and Ernest. My Grandmother's name was Myrtle Arthuretta (Niven) Gottschalk. I think her husband was Michael William Gottschalk. If Alfred is my Uncle, we would like to contact him. Please e-mail us - thanks,
Sandra

Dear Sandra ,
I think you are my cousin , whom I met when I visited in Alabama in about 1965 . If I recall correctly you were the oldest . My father Alfred just passed away on his birthday this past August 1st 2001. I would really very much like to keep in touch and glean as much infomation about my Dad and his family history as I can . Although my father was a difficult man , we were very close and his death has come hard . I am very excited about your answering my message -
I buried my father in New York Harbor . I am married and live in CT now . I know my brothers will be also very excited . My father would not speak much of his family history , he was much like how I remember his mother Myrtle to be back when I visited in 1965 , taciturn , guarded and a bit paranoid . I was only 15 at the time , I didn't understand . How is my Uncle Ernest ? Do you know what happened to Uncle Robert ? Your Mom and Aunt Bertha ? I am sorry I never kept in touch with our Grandmother , but I felt hurt by her reception of me when I visited and although she did write to me I never answered .
