My father was born to William and Esther Gombert in Lehighton. I believe my grandfather and grandmother grew up in East Weisport (spelling ?). I do know my grandfather owned a bowling alley in Lehighton. Unfortunately I never knew my grandfather, he passed away before I was born. My grandmother passed away in 1972 when I was 6. My father passed away in 1998. I don't have much information beyond that. My mother says there are pictures in the basement but she is in PA and I am in Maryland. My father had a sister named Louis. She married a Blank and still resides in Lehighton. As I learn more I will try and pass on.

Their child, Konrad (1738-1813) married Gertrude Richter (1756-1827)
P> in Ouberaufhausen on 7/26/1785.
Their child, Franzisk V. (10/5/1791-2/23/1866) married Maria Elizabeth
Gombart(11/1/1789-12/23/1859) on 11/28/1813.
Their child, George Konrad married Marina Katherine Ritz. They had eleven children:
Engelbert, Philip, Theresia (Sr. Anastasia), Adelbert (Albert), Edward, Benedickta,
Philomena (Sr. Fredericka), Aloysius (Aloys), Ida, Anna
(Sr. Verena) and Marianne. Ida and Marianne died as children.

I am researching the Philip Gombert line. It looks like he was the son of Leonard in Carbon County. Would appreciate any information you can share.
