I am looking for more information on the following, I do know they migrated to the United States to New York City prior to the Civil War as son John Lee Gilmour died May 1865 in VA.

William Gilmour born about 1814 of Neilston, Renfrew, Scotland, Married Jean Lee born about 1818 of West Orthurlee, Neilston, Renfrew, Scotland on 02 AUG 1839

Children:
1. Allan Gilmour born 18 July 1840 Neilston, Renfrew, Scotland christened 26 July 1840
2. John Lee Gilmour born 28 July 1842 Neilston, Renfrew, Scotland, christened 7 Aug 1842 died May 1865 Battle of Wilderness.
