I am trying to trace Lewis Geer possibly of Anderson Co. SC. He would have been born around 1900 as his elder child Sarah Blake Geer was born in 1920 in Charleston. He had a son also Lewis Calhoun Geer. He married Leona Blake Turner of Abbeville County. He was according to his daughter shot dead in a hotel by the husband of the woman he was having an affair with when she was young. My daughter is Sarah's granddaughter. Any information on this branch of the Geer family would be appreciated. Thank you

I am working on a huge ROTHROCK family tree. Sarah Leona TURNER (went by Leona) (b. Aug 1891) was the daughter of Talitha Ann ROTHROCK (1852-1930) and John Sample TURNER (1839-1908). Leona married Lewis Calhoun GEER (b. 1894) before 1920. In 1920 Leona and Lewis were living alone at Greenville City, SC. In 1930 the widow Leona, and two children Sarah L. GEER (b. c1921) and Calhoun T. GEER (1927-2003) were living with Leona's widowed elder sister Lillian TURNER SHELTON and Leona's widowed mother, Talitha ROTHROCK TURNER at Anderson County, South Carolina. Is this your family?? Oops! Lewis was son of Elijah B. GEER (Aug 1870 - 15 Jan 1919, died at Anderson Co., SC). and Callie P. (b. Apr 1873). Elijah was son of Elizabeth MITCHELL GEER (b. Jan 1849) who was widow by 1880 with Elijah and Elizabeth living with Elizabeth's parents (WILEY MITCHELL/MITCHEL family) at Martin Township, Anderson County, South Carolina.
