I am also a desendant of Samuel C. Fugler and Louella Field
there are volumes of info on the Fuglers but very little on the Field line do you have where she is buried have looked and looked.What about her dad Jerimiah Field or Martha Leah?

How did you find out that they were from Scotland?
My great grandmother is Ola Fugler-Starling.

I'm your extended family through Ola Fugler-Starling. Ola is my great grandmother. Her daughter Janie is my grandma.

Have you ever checked into Thomas Cardwell's family tree? He is my cousin in Alexandria, LA. and has extensive research on all the Fuglers in Mississippi as his mother is the daughter of William Thomas Jeremiah Fugler who was my great grandmother, Ola's brother.

I'm the 4x's great grand daughter of Richard David Fugler and Horton. 3x's great grand daughter of John Jeremiah Fugler and Sarah Elizabeth Wimberry. 2x's great grand daughter of William Thomas Fugler and Sarah J. James. Great grand daughter of Sarah Creola 'Ola' Fugler and James Reuben Starling. Grand daughter of Janie Marie Starling and Arthur Duke Pruett. Daughter of Mary Ola Pruett and Walter Kinard Richmond! Whew! It's nice to meet you. I just found out about the plantation in Woodville. I'm (my family) originally from Memphis/and an Air Force Brat born in Tucson. I'm now in California. I've been here since my parents died in 1974/74. My name is Jeff Fugler. I now live in The Colony TX and I am the Great, Great Grandson of Richard David. One of his sons Benjamin Franklin Fugler then Alden Fugler to Alvia Fugler to me. I have some pictures of my grandparents and a 20" X 28" painting of Ben Fugler. There is a picture of Richard David in Woodville MS.

It is always nice to hear from a cousin. Our great great grandfathers were obviously brothers and both have healthy lineage. Our family loved to reproduce to the max. You would be amazed to see all of your family tree after John Jeramiah. Mygreat grandfather was named John Jeramiah also and his father was Samual Casablanca the brother to Richard David...Bettiann Lloyd has researched your line extensively and would be extremely excited to have copies of any pictures you may have. I was searching the Fugler name and ran across your message. Richard David Fugler is my Great Great Grandfather. My Great Grandfather was Benjamin Franklin Fugler, Grandfather Alden Franklin Fugler, Father Alvia Franklin Fugler. I have some pictures of Benjamin Fugler and there is a picture of John Jeramiah in Woodville MS. I have tried to get a copy of the painting but have not had any success. I also have a portrait of Benjamin Franklin painted when he was in his looks to be early 20's.

Cindy, There are a lot of Fuglers in this area of the country..N.West Louisiana and East Texas. I will be out on vacation until the 9th of September, but would be happy to speak with you when I return. I am taking my computer with me, but don't anticipate using it much until my return. hi, i am cindy hearld married to willie hearld, who is the grandson of betty fugler. my husband is a decendent of richard fuglert, he was his gr,gr, gr, uncle. richard fuglar is buried at watson at the little watson cemetary. you may call me at home at 225-791-3620 and i can give you directions. ihave been there already. i am very excited about this. thru doing this geneolgy i found that a fugler married a collins, which is my last name, so i am trying to find that also. waiting to hear from you. thanks, cindy

hi, my name is cindy hearld. i am married to willie hearld(bill, is his nickname. we live in denham springs, la.my husbands grandmother was betty fugler, whom he was very close to. she is buried up at the old fugler plantation in woodville mississipi. i have a lot of geneolgy on the fugler's that i still need to get organized. i went to see the fugler plantation in woodville,miss. whioch has now been sold. the people living ther are very nice, and invited me to come back to walk through the home, it is still pretty much in it;s original state and they are planning on making a bed and brakfast and telling the fugler history behind the home. i have a lot of information to share and would love to talk to you. my maiden name is collins, thru my search i found afugler that married a collins in miss. please email me or feel free to call me at 225-791-3620. richard fugler of virginia is my husband's gr, gr, gr, uncle. anxiously waiting yopur relply, cindy hearld collins.

My name is Melanie Jo Smith Green my mother was Maxie Claire Morris daugher of Athlea Claire Wilson daugher of Bret Elbert and Mary Maxie. 1st child Barry 1902, Inez died as infant she lived about one year ,Vonell 2/2/1908, Malcomb 1906, Athlea 1/12/1911-12/21/1967,Fred Butler,My mother died about 5 years ago she and I discovered some information about Bret Elbert and Mary Maxie's children that Athlea didn't even know. Mary Maxie died after a miscarriage at a very young age Barry and Malcomb left home at early age after Bret died Athlea was raised by an aunt and sent to a boarding school part of the time.
