I have recently found distant cousins throught this message system. I have family in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi. I was born in Austin, TX. and raised in Marshall. I know most of my family in the Marshall area, but would like to reach out to more of the extended family from the Generation of my GrGrGrandfather Samual Casablance Fugler. If you are out there I would love to hear from you. Thanks to bettiann Lloyd, I now have a small contact with that generation of my family.

Margie, I can't put my hands on my Fugler info. But I know there is a Samuel Casablance in my family. My grandmother was Ella Fugler Maxwell. Her father was Richard David Fugler s/o Jedidiah who was the son of Richard David. If you should like to share please let me know. There is a man who lives in Greenville, Ms. who has research the Fuglers. Oh, I found some notes your Samuel c. is a brother to my gr.grandfather Richard. After Labor Day I'll look for Mr. Heftner phone #. Oh, there's a Fugler reunion at Fair River community of Lincoln co. Ms. the 2nd week-end in Oct. I've never been. I would also like to know where my Richard David is buried. I only know in La near Baton Rouge. I'm glad to see some one on the Fugler board. Peggy P

According the family history information I have, Richard d. Fugler was buried June 16, 1906 in Denham Springs, LA in Salem Cemetery. I have been in contact with one of your direct lines who is also a descendent of Richard D. Fugler and she lives in Austin, TX. We also have a reunion that we just started up again last year in Marshall, Texas.....by the way, the descendent I am speaking of is bettiann lloyd. Just another observation, we are both probably from the lineage of John Jeramiah Fugler who was the only son of Richard David Fugler who was born in 1762 and died in 1827. Our great great grandfathers were brothers and you and bettiann lloyd have the same great great grandfather...of course depending on where you fall in the line, he may be more greats than that....I happen to have a copy of the family tree, but just cant't seem to find you, but that may be because it is not up to date. I am suppose to get a more up to dat version at my next reunion....I just love this message board, don't you?.....Margie

My grgrgr grandfather was John Jeramiah Fugler and married Sarah Elizabeth Wimberry. They settled in Mississippi with 9 children.
