Mrs. Fix was born March 26, 1927, in Muscatine, the daughter of Harold and Elizabeth Cook Hubbard. She married Clifford Fix on April 2, 1944, at her parent's home in Muscatine.

She enjoyed bowling and knitting.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Cheryl Corwin and husband, Kenneth, of Moline, Ill.; two granddaughters, Tonnie Brown and husband, Joe, of East Moline, Ill. and Tammie O'Donnell and husband, Tim, of Moline, Ill.; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Harold Hubbard Jr. and wife, Marion, of Bettendorf.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Lavern; and three sisters, Dorothy, Leona and Jackie.

I have a Marie Louise Fix who married Henri Barbe. I don't have any dates, but her son, John Auguste Barbe, was born in New Orleans on November 27, 1879. He married Marie Muller and had 5 children: Gladys M (1912), Henry J (Oct 25, 1914 - Jan 1966), John Auguste (Jun 26, 1916 - Sep 1967), Lorraine R (1922), and Emile J (1923).

I am looking for information on this family. Henry Fix was born Apr 8, 1881 in Dieburg Germany. He had to leave his country and settled in France around Toul or Nancy. He married Jeanne Vaucher Apr 20, 1907. On Aug 23, 1914 he joined the Foreign Legion. He fought in North Africa. In 1919 he returned to Nancy to live. In 1925 he and Jeanne divorced and he may have been living in Toul. By 1946 he is remarried and has 2 daughters, one named Suzanne. Suzanne was born abt 1932 and married an american officer and moved to the US. I am trying to find information on Suzanne and her family and try to make contact with her relatives in the US.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I was doing some research of the Fix family and visited three springs last October(2007). We were in the town and a women who headed up the hisortical society was kind enough to talk with my family. She had advised the Alfaretta Hoffman had just passed the previous week. She took us to her grave, fresh flowers still on the ground. How unfortunate to have missed her. My father was Frank E. Fix, son of Mack Shartles, Grandson of John Wesley, and Great Grandson of Johan. If you or anyone you know would share information or old photos,I am very interested in talking.

My great grandfather was Henry Martin Fix born April 19, 1883 in Norfolk, Nebraska. He died Sept. 1, 1971 in Aberdeen, Washington. Perhaps Benjamin's brother! I know nothing of his families NE past. I know much more about his later life. I recently posted an inquiry under the Fix surname heading.

I am looking for any connections to Henry Martin Fix.

Henry Martin Fix born April 19, 1883 in Norfolk, Nebraska. He died Sept. 1, 1971 in Aberdeen, Washington. His trade is listed as Sawyer in the census.

Maggie Priscilla Smith born March 30, 1888 in Independence, Bingham County, Idaho. She died December 11, 1958 in Idaho but her remains were buried in Elma, Washington where she was living.

They married December 27, 1905 in Lyman. Lived in Lyman and Pocatello. By 1913 they were in Porter Washington, west of Olympia. There last 2 children were born in Porter.

They divorced in about 1935. Priscilla moved to Elma, west of Olympia, Henry moved to Motesano and Aberdeen near the coast.

They had 4 children. Calvin Henry Fix, Ford W. Fix, Georgia E. Fix and Harley Fix.

Calvin, added the second "x" to our name, and married Marlys Fuller and had 2 children: Catherine and my father James Fuller Fixx. I still have distant family in the Elma, WA. area. I live in Ohio and my siblings are in Mass, VT and CT.

I was excited to find some actual family names I recognize!! My husband, Bryan is related to your father's brother, Sewall Jacob Fix. I am trying to research Sewall along with other family members. I am also researching this family. Anton J. Fix is my husband's paternal grandfather. I am trying to find info. on Anton's father, John (Johann) Fix and his wife Barbara Ochs.

Would like to share stories if there are any remembered. For instance, Anton Fix married Catherine Fritz. There's a story that "Katie" Fix made and sold bootleg gin to the railroad men. She outlived three husbands, Anton being the first.

Any validation to these stories or any other info. on the them?

I find Celia Fix married to Thomas S. Hamill in the 1930 census living in Philadelphia PA. There may possibly be a Soc sec record for Celia passing away in 2004 in Orange County Florida.

There may be more or someone above may be a cousin. If you think you are related, please contact me. Part of this family seems to have disappeared. They sometimes said they were born in US, Russia, Germany, Poland- so you never know if you've got the right family. MARTIN and the first 4 names on the list are connected because they met each other at the docks in NY and Philadelphia and lived at the same address briefly in Philadelphia . The last 2 names were in the same Russian villages my great grandma and grandma came from.

After 3 years of searching, I've decided my particular branch of the "Wolfe" family must have just been dropped out of the sky onto this earth, as they don't seem to be related to any other "Wolfe's" that anyone else is researching. So I'm going to try this from a new angle - the in-laws. William Fix's father-in-law was Thomas Wolfe. This Thomas Wolfe is my great great grandfather & my brick wall. Here's what I know:

Congratulations on your decision to start up a FIX dna project. I joined the KIRCHER DNA project a bit over a year ago myself. I'm sure your as excited as I was, and hopefully will be at least as productive as my involvement.

IRT to your project. I have a gg g/m, Louisa FIX, born 1838 in Baden, Germany. She married Frederick Kircher in Whitside County Illinois in 1859. I have her children and burial data, but absolutely NOTHING on her family.

Please, keep me in mind should one of your fellow FIX researchers have any information on this woman. I would be most happy to share/exchange data.
