Hi

I recieved the following line from a familey member who is now deceased. Unfortunitly there were no sources mentioned for most of this.

Lucy Fassett B 19 Apr 1779 in Winchester died 10 Sep 1816 in Vermont. Married to Ebenezer Copeland.

Lucy was a daughter of Samuel Fassett born 8 Nov 1741 in Conn. died 1829. no record of who he married.

Samuel was a son of Benjamin Fassett born 6 Feb 1716/17 in Ct and died 6 Nov 1771, CT Married Lydia Copeland born 25 Oct 1720 . Lydia is a desendant of John Alden of the Mayflower

Benjamin was a son of Benjamin Fassett born 7 Jul 1690 in Billerica, Ma died 3 Oct 1764 in Pomfey, CT married to Elizabeth Park

Benjamin was the son of Patrick Fassett born about 1628 in Scotland and died 7 Nov 1713 in Billerica, Mass. He is buried in the Old South Cemetery in Billerica, married a Sharah (surname not know) who died 15 Jan 1739/40 in Bedford, Mass.

If any of this matches your records or you can tell me where I could find proof (or disprove) of any of the above please contact me at cleewarriner@yahoo.com or thur this list.

Frtom various records I have it shows the first Fassett was John who came from Scotland and was made a freeman in 1654. He is probably the father of Patrick. One reference, "The Fassett Family" by Schuster starts with Patrick (this is the one you show as Benjamin F) and his wife Sarah, who had 10 children. Your Benjamin was the youngest, marrying Elizabeth Park. He was born 7 July 1690.
My records don't follow Benjamin down at all, except his marriage.
Good Luck,
John

Thank You John,

This gives me a couple of new leads to followup on. I will also also have to see if my local library has a copy of "The Fassett Familey", it sounds like it could provide me some additionial information.

Katherine Schuster's book "The Fassett Genealogy: Descendents of Patrick and Sarah Fassett" (1974) can be ordered on microfilm for viewing from any LDS Family Library location. I checked out this book and it has loads of information on the Fassett's. So far, I haven't found any discrepancies on my end. Good luck and have fun reading the book.

I only have two lines with you, and this is such an old post, you probably already know this, but:

Patrick Fassett married Sarah Reyley. two sources I have listed for him is "Irish Settlers in America vol. 1" and "The Follet-Dewey Fassett-Safford Ancestry" by Henry Parker Ward.

His son Benjamin married 1. Elizabeth Park and 2. Eleanor Adams. Two sources I have listed for him are "Concord Vital Records" and "The Fassett Genealogy"

Thank You, I had not had Sarah REYLEY surname or the Irishy Settlers in America source. Had not considered that before but now I will have to check it out, I have other Irish ancesters who could be in it.
