Born (I think) 16 sep 1925, pretty sure about the date, but the year might be +1 or -1. Born and lived in Birmingham England.

I believe he came from a very large family, lots of brothers and sisters. He married Joyce Clarke and had a daughter Lesley (my mom). He later divorced and, I believe, remarried.

If anyone has any information I would appreciate hearing from you.

Thanks

Hi, My name is Jeremy Ewins,my ancestors also lived in Pinvin,Worcs, infact my four times great Grandfather is buried
just behind the Church porch. He was born in 1773 and died
in 1849.There are three or four other Ewins buried in Pinvin,as your probably aware, but as yet I can't find the link.A bit of a coincidence?
You may be aware, also that there is a family tree for the Ewins',by Professor W.A.S.Hewins,which dates back to the Norman conquest! This is available from Worcestershire records office. All my family moved up to Brum aswell and settled around the Smethwick area(Brasshouse Lane). Now there must have been family still in Pinvin,Because my Grandparents took their honeymoon there.I hope I've been some help though you may know some of it .regards Jeremy.

Hi Jeremy
I am researching my family history, and have come across your message on Rootsweb. I know its been sometime since you posted it, but think we MAY have a connection as my ancestors moved from Grafton Flyford (not too far from Pinvin) to Rolfe Street, Smethwick around the same time! My sister and I have researched our tree back as far as 1705 but can't get back any further. How far have you gone back? I am prepared to share my tree, if you are yours.
Hope to hear from you.
Regards
Doreen Frewin

Hi Doreen,I think we must have a connection somewhere.I was doing a bit of research on behalf of my Uncle, Mr Rex Ewins, who has traced back as far as George Ewins, who as I stated,is buried behind the church porch at Pinvin. There I'm afraid he's got stuck at the moment and can not connect with the family tree that Prof. Hewins produced, which dates back to the Norman Conquest, and the first Ewins mentioned in that had his surname spelt 'IUUEIN'.
I do know that George Ewins was a farmer and market gardener and that his daughter Catherine Ewins kept the off licence come shop in the village. If you would like to give me a ring I will gladly talk. I will ring my Uncle to see if he could pass a copy of our family tree so that we could compere both. You may of course have already been in contact with each other. My Uncle is not in the best of health at the moment,I will try my best. My phone number is 01502-711532. Regards Jeremy
