Hello
I saw your message...I havent found earlier info in history, but maybe the Espinoza's come from Italy , ancient Rome (Spinoza ?) , but thats not comfirmed yet...the info i found mentions 2 regions in spain a) Espinoza de Villa Gonzalo and b) Espinoza de Los Monteros.... This more recent info is very interesting since it talks about the Real Eagle Order of the Espinoza's being some kind of knights commanded by the king in Spain (Cruzades?)...more later they came to America to a Place called "Solar de Espinoza" , Since then, the Espinoza's have been expanding all over the continent. The Espinoza's seems to be atracted with Technology Gadgets, Exploring ,Engineering stuff,Science and Knowledge. Thats logical, where is war there is also Tech. Espinoza's Also likes good food, maybe that comes from their ancesters in rome

Some of us,( like my Father and 3rd brother, which are good examples) have strong and energic character that makes me thing that the part of the King's Knight is true, some others like me, and my 2nd brother correlate the info regarding tech.
Best Regards
E.Espinoza

My father's family originated in Mexico, but he was born in Clint,Texas. My grandfather was named Juan and my great-grandfather Don Quitano Espinoza. My mother told me a story that was told to her by my great-grandfather. She said that my great-grandfather changed his name during one of the mexican revolutions because his family was sought after by the "Federalistas". She said it was originally "Espino" but he added the "za" to change it. My great-grandfather said his siblings and parents were killed by the Federalistas and so he traveled North towards the U.S. My grandfather Juan, was an only child but had six sons and three daughters, my father being the second oldest. Some of my uncles and aunts still reside in Mexico (around Juarez)the rest of my family seven brothers and two sisters live in S. California.

Hi,
I am new to the message Boards, but I thought I'd give it a shot.

Carlos,
Where in Mexico and Texas is your Espinoza line from? My husband
has Espinozas in San Antonio, Texas and also in Monclova, Choahuila, Mexico.
The earlist dates are early 1800's.
If it sounds like we may be able to help each other let me know.
Karen
