Horrell, Carol F.

Carol Francis Horrell (nee Dunham), our much loved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, peacefully went to be with our Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 29, 2007. She gave her love unconditionally to her husband, Ken, for 55 wonderful years. Also blessed with her love were their children: Barbara Boros and husband, John, of Rancho Cucamonga, CA; John Horrell of Laguna Niguel, CA; Stephen Horrell of Upland, CA; Cynthia Lane and husband, Ron, of Sun City, CA. Carol leaves six grandchildren: Jamie, Lori and Stephen Horrell, and Sarah, David and Susan Boros; and three great-grandchildren: Olivia, Cooper and Dylan. Carol is also survived by her beloved sister, Joan Ferro, sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her dear brother, David Dunham, in 2001. Over the years Carol graciously gave many hours of volunteer service for her church in various positions, among these were Altar Guild and Worship chairperson, children's music director, Bell Choir member, Piecemakers quilting member and Wedding Coordinator. She was also involved extensively in her community as a member of Meals On Wheels, in the San Antonio Hospital gift shop, Upland Women's Club, and Women Of Vision. Her civic duties included being an Inspector For The Registrar of Voters of San Bernardino County and belonging to the Chaffey Community Republican Women's Federation. She also enthusiastically enjoyed her family and friends, bridge, bunco, quilting and playing the piano. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 4th at 11 AM, Grace Lutheran Church, 2108 Euclid Avenue, Upland CA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The City Of Hope, Duarte, CA.
