My grandmother was Theresa Duarte, dob: 3/28/1890
to Barbara Isabella (Medeiros) Botelho and John
Duarte, both from the Sao Miguel, Azores. Grandma
was born in Halaula, North Kohala. I don't know
if we're related but I am researching my history.
Grandma had a brother Manuel Duarte; half-siblings:
Mary (Botelho)Camara, Maria (Botelho) Zablan, and
Joao and Angelo Botelho

My father Angel Duarte had an uncle named Luis Duarte who lived in Fresno CA. Luis Duarte had a son who moved to Hawaii. My father's, dad was Vicente Duarte. I was
wondering if there is any connection. I am interested in finding out more of our family history. Thank you

Okay, this is a long shot! I am married to a Duarte, family is from Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico. We were told that he had been born in San Diego, CA. I was told by my mother-in-law that it was his brother, Angel. Think they're related? Their mother's name would be Galdina Tapia and dad is Vicente Duarte. Have you received anymore information. I was wondering if somehow you all are related to my husband? Like I said previously, my husband's name is Vicente Heraclio Duarte born in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico. His father's name was Vicente Duarte-Tapia. He had a brother named Angel and Fernando and a sister by the name of Maria Duarte who apparently lives in the LA area here in California. We're in San Jose. Their father's name was Vicente Duarte and their mother's name was Galdina Tapia.

Just a few years after your post, but I'm Christina Duarte. I have plenty of family on the Kona side. My grandmother name was Mysie and grandfather was Thomas. I'm looking for any information from before that so any would be helpful. I fyou get this thanx.
