Du Bois line and Kidney Disease

My brother and I are descendents of Louis DuBois through his son Abraham and grandson Abraham who moved to Somerset County, NJ. My brother has recently been diagnosed with Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) which is a very rare form of kidney disease. In plain talk his kidneys are like a sieve where the holes are now plugged up. He will be beginning dialysis in a few months and will eventually need a transplant. I was wondering if any other DuBois descendents have this form of disease or something similar. I recently came across a descendent from the unproven ancestry line of Chretien who died of the same disease in 2004.

Jacqueline, your previous post was moved to the Dubois message board since that is how you spell the name. This is the Du Bois message board with a space between the u and B. I have changed the spelling in the subject line on this board to meet board specs but you might want to keep track of both posts. You can find both of them by clicking on your name next to where is says author: or by:
Hope you find what you need.
