Hi Rodney,
Could you tell me more.....
Here's all I KNOW about 'my' Antoine:
He was married 1831 Mar 19; the record is from
Mackinac County Courthouse; Office of the
Register of Deeds; Record #83: "
Antoine Delonie and
Harriet Gifford were married on the 19th day of March 1831 by the Rev. Samuel Mazzuchille (
Mazzuchelli)." I’m assuming both were b. abt. 1811.
2 Children were baptized at St. Anne’s Church on Mackinac Island:
1833 Dec 02 Isabellum Elizabeth Delonay; and
1835 Oct 31
Antoine DonerHis name is written
Antoine Delonie (record of marriage);
Antoine Delonay (Isabella’s baptism); and
Antone Delonoy (Antoine‘s baptism); His wife’s name is written
Harriet Gifford on marriage certificate; Margarith
Griffith (Isabella's baptism) & Margarittoe Grifface (Antoine's baptism)
I have LOTS on
Isabella (who was generally referred to Elizabeth) and
Antoine (Jr.); but absolutely NO leads on either
Antoine, Sr. nor
Harriet. The 1850 census shows Elizabeth and
Antoine living with Samuel and
Sophia McCalloch, so either
Antoine &
Harriet had died by then or had left the area.
Does any of this ‘fit’ with your Thomas? Was he from the Northern
Michigan area?
Thanks so much,
Judy
