TIPTON, Iowa -- Mabel Muriel Dolan, 92, of 1200 Mulberry St., Tipton, died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003, at the Cedar Manor Nursing Home after a lingering illness.

Services are at the Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. The Rev. Ruth E. Blayer will officiate. Musical selections were provided by organist, Sylvia Gould and vocalist, Jim Schneider. Burial will be at Tipton Masonic Cemetery.

Mrs. Dolan was born Dec. 3, 1911, in rural Tipton, the daughter of Everette L. and Nora A. Rehbehn Atkins. She married Allen Dolan March 17, 1951, at the Little Brown Church, Nashua.

She was a housewife.

She was a member of Springdale United Methodist Church in Springdale, Women of the Moose and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post 2537.

Survivors include two sisters, Erdine Kruse of West Liberty and Stella Gardner of Tipton; a stepson, Dennis Dolan of Texas; and a stepgranddaughter, Susan Dolan of Iowa City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a sister, Marcella Kruse; and a brother, Darrell Atkins.

TIPTON, Iowa - Charles Timothy Dolan Jr., 62, of Tipton, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2008, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids.

Funeral Service will be at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Tipton. Burial will be at the Woodbridge Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Memorials may be directed to the Cedar County Cattlemen’s Association.

Mr. Dolan was born Sept. 9, 1945, in Chicago, the son of Charles T. and Anita M. VanTuyl Dolan.

He attended St. Ambrose University, Western Illinois University and later Kirkwood Community College.

In the late 1950s he started his lifelong career at Dolan, Lundeman Stockyard in Chicago. He was in the cattle business all of his life and worked as a cattle dealer for Equity Livestock and United Producers Livestock.

He was a member of the Cedar County Cattlemen Association, the Moose, was involved in 4-H and served on the Cedar County Extension Council.

He was also an auctioneer and former Sunday school teacher.

He will be missed by all of his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Michelle Dolan of Tipton; seven children, Sarah Fivenson and husband, Steve, of Mequon, Wisconsin, Katie Howell and husband, Ryan, of Rolla, Missouri, Charles Timothy “CT” Dolan III and wife, Stephanie, of St. Louis, Missouri, Alicia Cooling and husband, Barry, of Wilton, Amanda McCormick and fiance, Chris Koch, of Clarence, Amy Mente and husband, Nolan, of Tipton and Ashley McCormick and fiance, Matt Shields, of Mechanicsville; eight grandchildren, Evan, Clayton, Daelyn Cooling, John, Maggie, Charlie Howell, Addison Shields and Brendan Dolan; a brother, Larry Dolan and wife, Cherie, of Peoria, Illinois; a sister, Peggy Gruzalski and husband, Greg, of Oak Ridge, Tennessee; a sister-in-law, Lori Dolan of Bryan, Ohio; his mother-in-law, Claudette Martin of Muscatine; his father-in-law, Harry Martin of Moscow; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Tom Dolan
