While perusing the Belfast News-Letter February 1, 1828 issue 9459 I spied the following announcement:

BIRTH EXTRAORDINARY. - On the 13th ult. and early on the following morning, the wife of Henry Cunliffe, of Rawtenstall, in Rossendale, Lancashire, a journeyman sizer, was safely delivered of THREE MALE and TWO FEMALE children! They were all perfectly formed, and each lived about ten minutes after its birth. The mother is doing well.- Sun.

I am not researching this family and I have no other information, but I couldn't pass this notice by without posting.

Thank you so much for sharing this article; life was so hard back then. I am currently researching my father in laws line of Rawtenstall and have a Henry Cunliffe born 1860. I know there are links with Ireland and assume they came to Rawtenstall in the potatoe famine???

Many Thanks,
Elisabeth.
