I am the daughter of Francis K. Cota and Francis M. Molesky. My father's father owned a maple sugar farm in Vermont. I know that my ancesters are of French origin and come from Vermont. Can you help me? Did your father have brothers and sisters. My father told me their were 13 in the family. Both my parents are deceased. I know that my family bounced back and forth between Maine and Vermont. For like 2-3 generations then one of the daugthers married a gentleman from the Indiana Terr. she gotten home sick he took her back and then they went through Can. Settled in Medicine Lake, Montana. My Grandfather's name is Luke Lyle Cota I don't know who he married to save my life..I can try to find out that information. I know that that Luke had a brother that he had went back to Mass. Possibely Vermont. My maiden name is Cota and I know that it was spelled Coa'tie or Coati'e I know that it's a French spelling so I'm not real sure about that.
