Have been told Cota is of French heritage by my mother. I think my mother may have met him in Long Beach, CA. He may have been a navy man. I was born in 1937.

I know of a Cota that was given up for adoption or given to another family to raise that may have been born about the same time
as you. Were you born in Minnesota

Hi my grandfather was from Altar, Mexico and crossed over in a covered horse drawn wagon. Can't tell you when but it was many years ago. It was also passed down to us that we were from French descent. I just have not been able to trace the name. Do you have anymore info, or does this sound familiar to you? I'd just like to know where I came from.
