DOD Identifies
Army Casualty
The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi
Freedom.
Spc. Christopher M. Cooper, 28, of Oceanside,
Calif., died Oct. 30 in Babil province, Iraq, of injuries sustained from a non-combat related incident. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 28th Infantry, 172nd Infantry Brigade, Schweinfurt, Germany.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.
