YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Private services were held Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009, at the LEE. Black, Phillip & Holden Funeral Home for Mr. Arthur James Cooper, 61, who departed this life Oct. 26, 2009.

Mr. Cooper was born July 8, 1948, in Youngstown,(Mahoning County) Ohio, a son of Arthur and Deloris Fairconiture Cooper.

He retired from General Fireproofing Company after 20 years of service, and was a Vietnam Army veteran. He was a former member of the Greater Friendship Baptist Church. He loved music, was a collector of albums and was an avid billiard player.

He leaves to cherish his memories, a brother, Otha (Wanda) Cooper of Youngstown, Ohio; four sisters, Arthurine Cooper and Jewel Cooper, both of Youngstown and Carolyn Cooper and Patricia Cooper, both of Texas; and a host of family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
