Desperately looking for our missing gg-Aunt Brigid/Margaret (Gannon) CONBOY. Given first name is Brigid, but was called "Margaret" once arrived in Philadelphia about late 1890s or early 1900s. Her nephew's WWI draft registration card record shows in "nearest relative" that she likely married a CONBOY, and family writings state that she had at least one daughter, whom she also named "Margaret". (Daughter Margaret might have married a LEINHAUSER in Philadelphia.)

Brigid/Margaret, born in the 1860s in Mayo, Ireland, had a brother Austin Joseph Gannon (1871-1941, married to a Heneghan/Hannigan) as well as several sisters who also came to Philadelphia.

Do any Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, most likely) CONBOY descendants have a record of one of their ancestors being a Brigid/Margaret Gannon??? We have not located any of this gg-aunt's descendants but have a strong foothold on her siblings'. M. Wilson - stella33@verizon.net

The LDS has the Philadelphia marriage index from 1885 onward on their site. It lists last names and year of marriage with index number. By cross-referencing you can determine who married whom and send off to the City of Philly for a copy or record.

Many thanks. Found exactly what, and WHO, I was looking for.
